Trusting Waters is a special collection of recordings that were recorded live at the Credit River of Mississauga, Ontario. The name of the album is borrowed from a group of Ojibwa known as the "Mississaugas" who referred to the Credit River as "Trusting Waters" or "Missinihe".

The vision of the record was to capture a series of new songs live in their natural element with no cut takes, tuning software or timing edits. Since much of my material and lyrics are written by this sacred river, I felt like it served great integrity to the songs to record them in the environment in which they were written. During the recording my feet were literally in the water while a cable was run out of my guitar and a microphone was propped up on a stand leaning over the water. We lit a fire when the sun went down and recorded by a crackling fire for tracks 4 & 5 (Kalimba Song & Flute Song)

Tracks 1 and 2 (On a Mission & In This Way) include one overdubbed instrument on each song, but the rest of the material is untouched live material.

Very blessed to be able to listen back on how everything turned out -- I'm very happy with the result.

Additionally, we filmed a video on multi angle HD cameras with a professional film and sound team (Spencer Ryerson, Henry Zambrano & Marco Furgiuele) and you can look forward to each of the videos being released on my YouTube channel.
